About
Hi there!
As you have already figured out, my name is George Yammine. My journey starts in my childhood, when my parents brought home our first personal computer, a 486 DX2 machine. I was already intrigued by the sprites and pixels that came out of my Nintendo entertainment system, and now, I found out that I can actually write code to generate my own! This is when my cousins, friends and I all started dabbling with QBasic.
Years later, I graduated in 2010 from Notre Dame University in Lebanon, where I studied Computer and Communications Engineering. Following that, I worked close to two years as a Network and Systems administrator for a large retail company back home. Then, I decided to continue my studies, and left off to Germany where I joined the Masters of Science in Communications Technology program at Ulm University. After graduating, I was offered a reseach assistant position at the Institute of Communications Engineering, persuing a Doctorate of Engineering (Dr.-Ing.). Some months after obtaining my doctorate, I joined Fraunhofer IIS in Nuremberg.
Personally, I am a DIYer and I like to tinker with craft and code. I am also a self-taught guitar player and an avid music lover. This site will contain snippets of the things I have built, programmed, or just plainly interest me.
I hope you enjoy this learning journey with me, and that someday whatever I discovered may help you find a solution to one of your problems.
